My exhibition LA SAMURAI will open today at 5:00 PM at the SoHo Gallery in Beverly Hills 90212, 9893 S. Santa Monica Blvd. It will design the contemporary warrior of a civil society, who has to live out his character in private and secrecy.

We cannot live without our fighting spirit. We are also constrained by overpopulation, overregulation, all states that are unnatural to man. We think it’s civilized that everything is regulated by law with armies of officials taking notice?
The warrior in us can’t stand it. The warrior is written into your genetic code, and if we try to deny it, terrible things will happen. The images are representing the layers of our personality, forced upon us by the rule of the regulation. How we break apart, how we lose ourselves in the masses, and how deeply inhuman that state of living is.
This is the situation that the Los Angeles Samurai is taking on, a secret modern-day warrior, hidden from view, and from the law.
It is the complete withdrawal into an artificial space, where the true human spirit roams. It is an imaginative space that reenacts what has been taken from him. Where he can be the singular individual a warrior needs to be in order to live. A world, where his code is still intact.
